Percy I. Weasley
|||||flustered and mortified||]|
I do believe I probably owe an explanation and/or apology for my... behaviour the night before, and so the first matter of business probably ought to be the apology part. I am quite horrified at the well, magnitude of disruptance I apparently may have caused, and you have my assurances that I had not intended for any such thing to happen and will consequently never allow a similar occurence to happen again. I do hope you will forgive the nature of any comments I may have made, as they most certainly would not have been made under normal circumstances. For this, I am truly, dreadfully sorry.
Though I'm afraid I am not yet at liberty to discuss in great detail the events leading up to the aforementioned, I suppose the most I can say is that I was... ah, under the influence of certain... things which I can neither discuss here or elaborate on. Oh, Merlin. I do wish I was able to offer a more thoroughly rational explanation, but security clearances and other such matters make this rather impossible...
I do hope that anyone I may have inadvertantly upset during the course of my visit will forgive my indescretion and please overlook any... advice I may have given. Such opinions expressed may or may not have been in your own best interests, and were most certainly not akin to anything I would have suggested had I been sound of both logic and proper etiquette at the time. I am wholly aghast, not to mention extremely sorry and entirely, exhaustingly apologetic. Penny dear, I wish you'd still speak to me.
